2022 New Year celebration activities kicked off in the Confucian Compound Scenic Area in Qufu on January 1. This year's event aims to promote winter cultural and tourism brands in the Confucian Compound Scenic Area, fully showcase its cultural and tourism resources and foster a rich atmosphere for tourism through initiatives such as Touring Shandong in Winter and Friendly Shandong New Year Celebrations. 

As the New Year bell was sounded at 8:30, the City Opening Ceremony officially started. Guests and tourists on site experienced ceremonies to celebrate New Year in Confucian culture through intangible cultural heritage performances. Traditional folk art performances integrated with modern lifestyle, creating an intense New Year atmosphere cherished for a long time in history. During the event, performers dressed in the images of gods of happiness, prosperity and longevity also gave tourists lucky bags filled with fruits, pastry, sweets and lucky cards. 

It was known that New Year Celebration Activities in Confucian Compound Scenic Area have been held for four sessions. The past events have demonstrated unique local cultural and tourism features, boosted tourism market in winter and created a festive atmosphere for local residents and visitors. The event has been a platform for traditional folk art, bringing Confucian culture closer to citizens, integrating culture into life, carrying forward ancient traditional Chinese culture and giving it new meaning in our times.
