The 2022 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival and The Eighth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations was held in Qufu from September 26 to 28. More than 800 experts and scholars from 22 countries and regions participated in the forums, interviews, and dialogues at the event, online or offline. They had discussions on the theme “diversity of human civilization and values shared by humanity,” contributing the “Nishan wisdom” to the development of human civilization.

　　As pointed out by Wang Yaping, exchange and mutual learning is the essential requirement for the development of civilizations. Youth engagement is essential to the inheritance and innovation of world civilizations. As young people in the new era, we should strengthen our cultural confidence, shoulder our responsibility, and strive to be inheritors and innovators in the permanent development of Chinese civilization; we should pass the torch from generation to generation, always safeguarding the “root” and “soul” of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and give new life to Chinese civilization through creations and the integration of oriental and western cultures; we should become spreaders and driving forces behind the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, work with young people from other countries to engage in the dialogue on world civilizations, tell the stories of China, and spread the voice of China; we should develop an inclusive and broad mind to strengthen mutual understanding through exchange and mutual learning, contributing our youthfulness, wisdom, and power to the inheritance and innovation of world civilizations.
